Position: Travel Medical-Surgical RN - $2,205 per week
Location: Iron River

Job Summary

The organization is seeking a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13‑week contract at a healthcare facility located in Iron River, Michigan. The role involves providing general nursing care on a 25‑bed med‑surg unit, with a focus on geriatric patients experiencing conditions such as CHF or COPD. The position offers rotating shifts with variable day and night schedules, ensuring a dynamic and flexible work environment.

    Rotating shift, variable day/night hours (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
  • Shift

    Hours:

    12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Contract Duration: 13 weeks, starting 08/10/2026
  • Certifications and Licenses:
    Current Michigan RN license and American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification. ACLS preferred but not required.
  • Experience:

    Minimum of 2+ years in Medical Surgical nursing, including ICU and Emergency Room experience. Strong charting experience with Care Scape patient monitors, Epic EMR, and Pyxis medication system.
  • Patient Care:
    Geriatric patients primarily with CHF or COPD on a 25‑bed unit, with patient ratios typically 4‑5 patients during day shifts and 6 patients during night shifts.
  • Additional Requirements:

    Must be comfortable floating to Emergency Department within competency requirements. Scrub attire is any colored scrubs.
  • Contract Includes:
    Up to 36 hours of low census unbillable hours.
  • Flu Season Policy:
    Vaccination decliners are required to wear a mask at all times, in accordance with facility policy. Employment is contingent on compliance with vaccination policy.
