Position Purpose

The Registered Nurse provides quality, patient‑centered care considering age‑specific, developmental, cultural, and spiritual needs through competent clinical practice and application of the nursing process. They consistently integrate relationship‑based care concepts into practice and serve as a clinical and educational resource to others on the unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient‑centered nursing care in the Operating Room and peri‑operative environment.
  • Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for surgical patients.
  • Integrate relationship‑based care principles into daily practice.
  • Act as a clinical and educational resource to nursing staff and interdisciplinary team.
Qualifications
  • Current Michigan Nursing License.
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Experience as a RN in Surgical Services preferred (pre‑/post‑operative, operating room, and/or endoscopy).
  • New hires must hold a BSN degree or agree in writing to obtain a BSN within five years.
  • Must be within 45 minutes of the hospital when on call.
Shift & Availability
  • Day Shift – 40 to 80 hours per pay period (every two weeks).
  • Full time or part time (benefit eligible).
  • On‑call required.
