The Medical Surgical Floor (MS) registered nurse position is located in Iron River, Michigan. This role involves providing general nursing care primarily for geriatric patients with conditions such as CHF, COPD, and diabetes on a 25-bed Med/Surg unit. The position requires experience working in Med/Surg settings and offers a 13‑week contract with shift hours from 7 PM to 7 AM.
Job Details- Location:
Iron River, Michigan - Schedule:
Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week - Required Qualifications:
Valid Michigan Registered Nurse license, American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification, a minimum of 2+ years of Med/Surg experience. Experience in Emergency Department is preferred but not required; ICU experience is not required. - Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred but not required). - Float:
Float to Emergency Department within competency required. - Additional Information:
Candidates with both Med/Surg and Emergency Department experience are highly preferred. Travel flexibility across multiple departments is ideal; however, Med/Surg‑only candidates will also be considered. Scrub colors are unrestricted. - System
Skills:
Strong charting experience with Epic Electronic Medical Record, Care Scape patient monitors, and Pyxis medication dispensing system. - Start Date:
