Provides general nursing care to patients.

Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.

Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatments and examinations of patients.

Observes patient, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or physician of patient’s condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.

Takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of patient.

May serve as leader for group of personnel rendering nursing care to number of patients.

Additional LPN duties given by Supervisor.

Requirements

At least one year (12 months) of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

A valid and current LPN license issued within the US

A valid and current CPR card

Experience in ER, Psychiatric, MS or Clinic

Proficiency in the English language is necessary for communication with other staff and patients.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program;
Consideration will be given for comparable education experience and successful licensure.
Licensure:
Is personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification(s): ACL SS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization), S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), LPN-IV certification, other unit-specific certifications as required.

Physical Requirements:

Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.

Travel Information (some roles)

Traveler Hourly Rate $16.50

Total Travel Stipend $1,162.00

Total Travel Pkg $1,756.00

Blended Rate $48.78

LPN 36 hours evening from 10a-10:30p with every other weekend

LPN 36 hour nights 6p-6:30a with every other weekend

Job Summary:

Provides care to patients under the direction of a registered nurse or physician, functioning within the scope of license.

Job Responsibilities:

Contributes to the assessment of patients and ensures the well-being of patients. Administers medications and observes patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments. Performs laboratory tests and therapeutic services. Educates patients/families about disease treatment plan including self care post discharge, holistic health needs, available resources and follow up care. May document provider encounters and transcribe patient orders, etc. Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.
