Pre‑Op, Post‑Op, PACU Registered Nurse (RN)
About the RoleJoin the Bronson Team as a Registered Nurse at the Bronson Battle Creek Hospital. In this full‑time position you will deliver patient‑focused, quality care across Pre‑Op, Post‑Op and PACU units, supporting patients throughout their stay and facilitating timely discharge.

- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care using the nursing process for all patients in the unit.
- Coordinate interdisciplinary care and delegate tasks within scope of practice.
- Document patient responses, resource utilization and anticipated needs during each tour of duty.
- Perform and manage direct patient care, providing physical care within scope of professional nursing practice.
- Communicate effectively in verbal, written and electronic form with patients, families and team members.
- Manage patient care plans, including discharge planning and coordination with continuum of care services.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and use results to improve patient care.
- Maintain professional competence through ongoing education and peer review.
- Serve as a patient advocate and uphold ethical standards in all care activities.
- Collaborate with health‑care professionals to improve patient outcomes.
- Support the Surgical team as a Scrub RN when required, including equipment management and procedural support.
- Associate’s degree in Nursing required;
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred and must be obtained within 8 years of hire. - Licensed Registered Nurse in good standing in the state of Michigan.
- BLS certification upon completion of core orientation; ALS or critical‑care certification may be required for some units.
- Strong ability to read, interpret and analyze data from patient monitoring systems.
- Excellent verbal, written and electronic communication skills.
- Ability to manage physical demands such as lifting up to 50 pounds and working in a high‑fatigue environment.
- Demonstrated competence in nursing care for patients with varying acuity and complexity.
Full‑time, 40 hours per week with shift variable time type. Scheduled weekly hours: 40.
