Pomeroy Living is seeking a Medication Technician to support residents in our senior living community through safe, accurate medication administration. In this resident-centered role, you will dispense medications per physician orders, document administration, and monitor residents for side effects or changes in condition. You'll collaborate closely with nurses and caregivers, follow safety and infection control standards, and help maintain organized medication systems.

This position offers training, growth potential, and the opportunity to make a daily impact on seniors' dignity, comfort, and independence.

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications to residents according to physician orders and community policies
  • Document medication administration accurately in electronic or paper records
  • Monitor residents for medication effectiveness and potential side effects
  • Communicate changes in resident condition to nurses and supervisors promptly
  • Maintain medication carts, supplies, and organization to ensure safety and compliance
  • Follow infection control and safety procedures in all medication-related tasks
  • Support residents with daily living needs related to medication routines
  • Collaborate with care team members to support personalized care plans
  • Provide compassionate, respectful interactions that support residents' dignity
  • Assist with orientation of new team members on medication routines as needed
