Heartline Staffing is recruiting an experienced Registered Nurse for an OB Director leadership opportunity in Hancock, Michigan. This position leads a dedicated OB team providing care for mothers and babies in a Level I Maternal Care and Nursery setting, with responsibility for clinical services, quality outcomes, staff development, patient care standards, and departmental operations.
COMPENSATION
- $101,172–$136,594 annual salary
- $5,000 sign-on bonus available to eligible applicants
- Up to $5,000 relocation assistance available to eligible applicants

- Full-Time | 1.0 FTE / 80 hours per pay period
- Monday–Friday 8-hour day shifts

POSITION OVERVIEW
The OB Director provides leadership for Labor & Delivery and OB services while remaining closely connected to clinical care, quality, compliance, patient flow, staff development, and departmental performance. This role is responsible for identifying and resolving issues affecting clinical services and serving as a resource for staff and external contacts regarding patient care and clinical standards.
ROLE
- Provide and coordinate care of OB patients using the nursing process.
- Identify and resolve issues affecting delivery of clinical services.
- Perform performance improvement studies and assist with implementation of PI initiatives.
- Serve as a resource to staff and external contacts regarding patient care, patient flow, clinical standards, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor departmental compliance with accreditation, legal, and The Joint Commission requirements.
- Coordinate staff scheduling.
- Coordinate employee education and development activities.
- Conduct and coordinate performance evaluations.
- Provide and coordinate patient education needs specific to Labor & Delivery.
- Lead an OB team focused on quality outcomes and family-centered maternal and newborn care.

Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing school REQUIRED
- Current Michigan RN license REQUIRED
- Labor and Delivery experience REQUIRED
- Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) REQUIRED
- NRP, AWHONN-EFM, AWHONN-POEP, and STABLE — current or obtained within 1 year REQUIRED
- Annual influenza vaccination or declination REQUIRED
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred
- 4+ years of Labor and Delivery experience Preferred
- 2+ years of healthcare leadership experience Preferred
