** Class Week 1
*** Monday, November 9 – 7am-3:30pm
* Tuesday, November 10 – 7am-3:30pm
* Wednesday, November 11 – 7am-3:30pm
* Thursday, November 12 – 7am-3:30pm
* Friday, November 13  – 7am-3:30pm
** Class Week 2
*** Monday, November 16 – 7am-3:30pm
* Tuesday, November 17 – 7am-3:30pm
* Wednesday, November 18 – 6am-2:30pm
* Thursday, November 19 – 6am-2:30pm
* Friday, November 20 – 6am-2:30pm
** Additional Details:
*** All training is hosted at and paid for by Thornapple Manor. Class attendees are also paid $17.07 hourly during training and for hours worked as a Temporary Nurse Aide.
* Mandatory perfect attendance is required during class dates.
* Once completing the State of Michigan certification exams and activating your CNA certification, the base pay increases to $19.60/hour. There is also a $2/hour shift differential offered for night shift and weekend shifts.## Qualifications

* JOB SUMMARY:

** The primary purpose of your job position is to provide your assigned residents with routine daily nursing care in accordance with our established nursing care procedures, and as my be directed by your supervisors, i.e., Nurse Leader, Neighborhood Nurse, Neighborhood Coordinator.
** DELEGATION OF AUTHORITY:
** As a Certified Nursing Assistant you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

***** Administrative Functions:
**** Ensure Residents identity before administering treatments, serving meals, etc., as necessary.
* Record all activities of daily living into the residents electronic record.
* Use only authorized abbreviations established by this facility when recording information.
* Report all changes in the residents condition to the Nurse Leader/Neighborhood Nurse as soon as practical.
* Report all accidents/incidents you observe on the shift as they occur.
*** Admission, Transfer & Discharge Functions:
**** Ensure that the residents room is ready for receiving the resident (i.e., bed made, name tags up, admission kit available, etc.)
* Greet residents and escort them to their room.
* Introduce resident to his/her roommate, if any, and other residents and personnel as appropriate.
*** Admission, Transfer & Discharge Functions Continued:
**** Make resident comfortable, (i.e., put to bed, get water, etc.)
* Inventory and mark the residents personal possessions as instructed.
