Elevator Operations

Location: Rosebush

Duties

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Assist with facility and equipment; maintenance, general repair, housekeeping of plant and equipment.
• Customer assistance during delivery of commodities is a high priority.
• Assist with pre-harvest sanitation of equipment and storage.
• Operating tractors, loaders, fork trucks, and other equipment used in the receiving, drying, cleaning, processing, packaging and shipping of grains.
• Assist with in-bound storage and out-bound quality of grains.
• Assist with monitoring stored grains including: temperature, pests (rodents and insects), crusting, odors, color, moisture, and aeration for maximum quality.
• Due to the nature of our business this job is not limited to 8 am-5pm Monday through Friday, and must be willing to work after regular work hours, weekends, holidays, etc.
  • Also willing to work in all elements of weather (hot/cold temperatures, rain, snow, etc.)
• Prompt attendance is a must
• Assist with Agronomy Operations when required, duties include dry fertilizer plant operations, seed and chemical handling.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent, preferred
• CDL license preferred, but not required
• 2 to 3 years experience preferred, or related field or ability to learn
• Willingness to work weekdays as long as required and weekends as required

Skills and abilities

• Strong mechanical and technical skills preferred
• Knowledge of agricultural crop protection and equipment
• Communication skills
• Problem Solving skill
  • Able to adapt quickly in many different situations (customer requests, weather, etc)

Physical Demands

Physically able to perform all requirements including but not limited to:

• Ability to walk stairs and climb up/down and in and around equipment and facility
• Standing and walking for several hours for an extended period of time. Could be extended periods of sitting if driving.
• General cleaning and housekeeping
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
