EHS Specialist
We're looking for an EHS Specialist to help maintain a safe, compliant, and high-performing manufacturing environment. This role partners closely with plant leadership, operations, and HR to support Environmental, Health & Safety programs and promote a strong safety culture.
What You'll Do
- Assist in administering EHS programs at the plant level
- Conduct inspections, audits, and incident investigations
- Deliver EHS and new-hire safety training
- Support OSHA/EPA compliance, documentation, and reporting
- Track safety metrics and recommend improvement actions
- Coordinate hazardous and non-hazardous waste activities
- Partner with HR on workers' compensation and return-to-work efforts
- Help identify and eliminate unsafe conditions or behaviors
What We're Looking For
- Degree in EHS, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience supporting EHS programs in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of OSHA/EPA regulations and safety standards
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable working on the plant floor and wearing PPE
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
- Preferred Qualifications
- Manufacturing or industrial environment experience
- Professional certifications (ASP, CSP, CIH, CHMM)
- Experience delivering safety training
