The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify product specifications.
• Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records of inspected items.
• Identify and tag non-conforming materials, initiating appropriate corrective action procedures.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality issues and implement preventive measures.
• Conduct first article inspections and in-process checks to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Operate and maintain various inspection equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
• Assist in the development and improvement of inspection procedures and quality control processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED;
  Associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
• 2+ years experience in quality control, inspection, or a related manufacturing role.
• Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, bore gauges).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T symbols.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or non-conformities.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CMM or other automated inspection equipment.
• Ability to interpret and apply GD&T principles.
• Certification in a relevant quality discipline (e.g., ASQ CQT, CMI).
• Familiarity with various manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, welding, assembly).
