Ground Beef Quality Assurance Technician I – 2nd Shift – Plainwell, Michigan Responsibilities

• Monitor SOPs, SSOPs and GMP compliance of associates, and perform HACCP procedures to comply with federal regulations.
• Contact USDA and present records to the agency upon request.
• Review records for accuracy and be accountable for their accuracy.
• Aid QA supervision and management in gathering data and investigating items outside of regular technician responsibilities.
• Work closely with production associates to monitor product specifications and correct specification deficiencies.
• Develop solutions to problems and work independently for extended periods.
• Monitor implementation of food safety and quality procedures on the floor, report deficiencies and correct them.
• Extended walking and standing in a cold/freezing environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Usual shift: 8.5 hours or more, 6 days a week. Shift times may vary day‑to‑day depending on operational needs. Employees may be asked to trade shifts or work at a specified time outside normal hours.

• Physically capable of line work.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Good attendance record.
• Self‑starter.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Capable of handling several tasks simultaneously.
