Location: Armada

Location: Schaeffler – Armada, MI (69900 Powell Rd #4030, Armada, MI 48005)
Duration: One-year co-op assignment

Note: Candidates must be able to work on-site at Schaeffler's Armada, Michigan location for the duration of the co-op assignment. External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment VISA or other sponsorship.

Projects and Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of digital document control systems and related software applications.
  • Assist with updating quality and manufacturing documentation to company standards, including document review, formatting, and uploading to electronic repositories.
  • Support digitalization initiatives by helping transition shop floor processes from paper-based to electronic systems.
  • Assist with the setup and deployment of workstation hardware and software throughout the manufacturing facility.
  • Provide support for quality and production‑related software applications used on the shop floor.
  • Assist in training operators and end users on digital tools and applications.
  • Troubleshoot software and system issues and elevate concerns as needed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on quality, efficiency, and process standardization.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support quality management system objectives and manufacturing operations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support team and business needs.
Your Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Maintained a 2.5 GPA or higher
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new software applications and digital tools.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Interested in gaining hands‑on experience within a manufacturing quality environment.
  • Comfortable working directly with production teams and cross‑functional departments.
  • Eager to contribute to process improvement and digital transformation initiatives.
