Saab, Inc. is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our team!
Responsibilities Include:
- Perform in-process quality inspections on product as it is being produced.
- Promptly identify, document and communicate quality concerns to appropriate personnel to minimize impact on production processes and maintain high levels of quality.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, and other inspection tools.
- Collect and maintain related quality records.
- Use of a computer-based ERP system for data entry.
- Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming materials.
- Assist in first article and sampling inspections, as requested.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement and root cause analysis activities, as requested.
- Assist with audits and quality system documentation, as needed.
Starting hourly rate of $27.00, commensurate with experience. The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.
Skills and Experience:Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Comfortable using computers and learning software programs
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications:
- Previous experience with product inspection
- Familiarity with measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Experience in automotive, aerospace, or industrial manufacturing is a plus
Must be a U.S. citizen, Permanent Resident (green card holder), or protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
