This position is based in Lake Orion, Michigan
, supporting General Motors operations within a high-volume warehouse environment focused on pick and pack, sequencing, inventory management, and material flow. We are seeking a hands-on Quality Supervisor to lead quality processes, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with customer and company quality standards.
- Supervise daily quality activities across warehouse and production support operations
- Ensure compliance with customer quality requirements, operating procedures, and work instructions
- Lead quality inspections, audits, and corrective action processes
- Investigate quality concerns, customer complaints, inventory discrepancies, and non-conformance issues
- Analyze quality data and identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities
- Develop and implement corrective and preventive action plans
- Partner with Operations, Materials, Maintenance, and Customer teams to resolve quality-related issues
- Monitor KPIs related to quality performance, customer satisfaction, accuracy, and process compliance
- Conduct employee training on quality standards, procedures, and customer expectations
- Ensure all quality documentation, reports, and records are maintained accurately
- Support new program launches, process changes, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Lead internal audits and assist with customer audits as required
- Provide coaching, performance management, and development for quality team members
- Promote a culture focused on accountability, quality, safety, and customer service
- 2+ years of leadership experience in quality, warehousing, manufacturing, automotive, or logistics operations
- Previous experience conducting audits, inspections, and root cause investigations
- Strong understanding of quality systems, corrective actions, and process improvement methodologies
- Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing or automotive operations preferred
- Knowledge of customer quality requirements and continuous improvement practices
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, quality reporting systems, and warehouse management systems
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to process compliance
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
