Picture this: a new production run is queued. You verify the set-up, confirm the process parameters, and open your inspection checklist. As the build starts, you’re the quality guardian—auditing, measuring, tracing, and documenting every step to keep our QMS airtight and our products flawless.
How you’ll contribute
Conduct manual inspections at incoming, in-process, and final stages; record all results per QMS.Audit processes and verify equipment/program set-ups before and during production.
Hold workmanship to IPC expectations and drawing/print requirements.
Examine PCB circuitry for shorts/opens, excess or missing solder, scratches, cracks, and layout errors.
Evaluate solder joints, wires, and cables for defects.
Measure parts for dimensional conformity; check alignment and fit.
Inspect for cosmetic issues like chips, scratches, and pinholes using magnification as needed.
Trace cable and harness assemblies against wiring diagrams to confirm routing and connections.
Complete first-piece inspections against bill of material (BOM) data.
Authorize repairs and re-inspect after completion; loop in the Production Manager and Quality Manager when necessary.
Drive the in-process disposition of nonconforming material.
Work side-by-side with production, offering timely feedback and assisting with root-cause problem solving on nonconformities and other tasks assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager.
