Shift: 6:00am–4:30pm | Rate: $20.25–$25.00 per hour based on experienceA day in this role

At 6:00 a.m., you step onto the manufacturing floor and into your quality zone. You start with a sweep of active work centers, checking parts against specs and verifying that gages are being used correctly. You spot a potential nonconformance, initiate containment at the point of occurrence, and partner with a Team Lead to protect flow. Mid‑morning, you assist with a calibration pull, ensure measurement tools are serviceable, and update gage usage instructions.

After lunch, you conduct a point‑of‑occurrence audit, coach an operator on best‑practice measurement techniques, and join a Product Quality Engineer to drive root‑cause analysis on a recurring issue. Before you leave, you log your findings, escalate trends, and plan tomorrow’s roaming inspections to keep our quality presence strong on the floor.

What you’ll doRoam assigned production zones to verify product conformity and process adherence.

Identify quality issues where they occur and initiate immediate containment.

Perform point‑of‑occurrence audits against standards and procedures.

Assist with gage calibration activities and verify equipment condition and correct use.

Support gage management and help improve gage work instructions.

Deliver hands‑on gage training and promote quality awareness on the floor.

Collaborate with Team Leads and Product Quality Engineers to investigate issues.

Contribute to root cause analysis and corrective actions; escalate recurring trends.

Recommend improvements to inspection techniques and quality processes.

Qualifications Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED required.

Background in manufacturing, quality, or inspection preferred.

Hands‑on experience with calipers, micrometers, and measurement gages.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.

Skills & Knowledge Proficiency with GD&T.Exceptional attention to detail and quality mindset.

Clear communication and practical problem‑solving skills.

Comfort working independently and in partnership with operations and engineering.

Basic computer proficiency.

Physical Requirements Stand and walk throughout the production facility for extended periods.

Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Work safely within a manufacturing environment.

Perform detailed visual inspections.

Primary Mission Strengthen quality presence on the manufacturing floor by executing roaming inspections and audits, supporting calibration, refining inspection techniques, training on gage use, and partnering with Team Leads and Product Quality Engineers to resolve issues at the source.
