Role DescriptionThe Property Manager is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Grosse Ile, MI. This role is responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day operations of assigned properties, including coordinating maintenance, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring properties are clean, safe, and well‑maintained. The Property Manager will handle tenant communications, process applications and lease agreements, collect rent, and address tenant concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Additional responsibilities include monitoring budgets, preparing reports on occupancy and expenses, assisting with property inspections, and supporting ownership with strategies to improve property performance. The role requires consistent on‑site presence, strong organizational skills, and the ability to balance administrative tasks with hands‑on property oversight.
- Experience in property management or real estate operations, including tenant relations, lease administration, and rent collection.
- Skills in budgeting, basic financial reporting, and using property management or accounting software to track expenses and income.
- Ability to coordinate maintenance and repairs, work with vendors and contractors, and ensure compliance with safety and building standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for resolving tenant issues, conducting property tours, and representing the company professionally.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities, with attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple properties or tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of local housing regulations, fair housing practices, and lease terms; prior experience in Michigan real estate is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; postsecondary education or professional certifications in property management or real estate are beneficial.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel between properties, as needed.
