This position is a Biological Science Technician (Wildlife), GS-0404-5 working in Carr, Colorado for the National Black-Footed Ferret Conservation Center. Only experience and education obtained by 05/20/2026 will be considered.
In order to qualify for this position you must possess the Minimum Qualification.
Minimum Qualification [GS-05]1) assisting in the planning and conducting of wildlife censuses and surveys;
2) capturing, handling, and tagging a variety of wildlife;
3) assisting with wildlife studies; and
4) recording scientific data to prepare reports.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, Ameri Corps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
