Nutrition Service Kitchen Assistant

Job Title

Required Qualifications

Must be able to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Must be able to work as part of a team.

Must be able to twist, bend, lift and stand for extended periods of time on hard floors.

Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with students, staff, and parents.

Must be able to operate a computer and handle money (receive, give correct change and balance cash drawer).

Must be willing to comply with federal, state, and department guidelines. Current safety and sanitation certification, civil rights training, and safe schools training.

All training must be completed within the first 30 days of employment.

Hours expected to work are 6:30 a.m.

- 1:30 pm.

Preferred Personal and Professional Competencies

Previous food service experience is helpful.

Serv Safe Certification.

Serv Safe Allergens.

Fundamental math and reading skills.

Work well with our team.

Major Job Responsibilities

Daily duties include, but are not limited to: meal service, dishwashing, cleaning, production record keeping, food preparation, cashier, and customer service.
