Customer Service Rep, Retail Associate/ Customer Service
Overview
We’re hiring for a part‑time Deli Clerk to join our Deli team! We’ll provide the training; you just bring the positive attitude and desire to learn. The primary focus of this position is to provide remarkable customer service to our guests by creating a fun and friendly atmosphere and actively engaging guests through product samples and suggestive selling.
Responsibilities- Slice, weigh, package, and label meat and cheese products for our guests
- Prepare and dish up salads
- Serve food to guests through the hot case (as applicable at location)
- Ensure the deli case and product areas are stocked with merchandise and visually appealing
- Prepare meat and cheese trays, veggie trays, and other department products to be merchandised and sold in the store
- Follow food safety guidelines and all health, safety and sanitation regulations
- Perform dish washing, mix ingredients, assemble catering orders, bake and fry products
- 10% employee discount on grocery items, with additional franchise‑specific discounts available at company‑owned Ace Hardware, Caribou Coffee, Erbert and Gerbert’s, and Pet Supplies Plus locations.
- Get paid daily with Daily Pay – for employees who would like access to their pay before payday.
- Paid time off (PTO/Vacation)
- Paid floating holidays and time and a half (1.5) paid for hours worked on a company‑recognized holiday.
- Sunday premium pay – an extra $1 per hour for hours worked on Sundays (some exclusions apply).

Qualifications- Must be at least 16 years of age or older;
Hornbacher’s age requirement for this role is 18 years of age or older.
