Position Summary
Our Bakery/Packager associates prepare fresh baked items daily for our members through following recipes, wrapping, labeling, and storing merchandise to ensure our members have the freshest items available to take home to their families. They juggle several tasks in a short amount of time while helping members with bakery orders. The role rewards hard work and collaboration within a large team with a common goal: happy, satisfied members.
WhatYou'll Do
- Be a Team Member: Collaborate with other associates, communicate with team members, and be flexible to the needs of the business by working in other areas.
- Be an Expert: Prepare bakery department merchandise based on daily production needs, operate baking equipment, follow recipes/make‑up instructions, wrap, label, and store merchandise in accordance with company policies. Ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management, and maintain equipment sanitation.
- Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement. Use handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality.
- Be an Owner: Commit to operational excellence, maintain work area per company policies, enforce quality and date‑control standards, secure fragile and high‑shrink merchandise, eliminate waste, assist members with purchasing decisions, and ensure merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored.
- Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocate for the department and club, model high‑quality service and products, execute fundamentals at the highest level, and exhibit energy, commitment, and passion for the work.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing relevant action plans and applying the Open Door Policy.
- Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other business partners; identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicate progress and information; recommend improvement opportunities; and adapt to and learn from change, difficulties, and feedback.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Any additional experience or skills that enhance the ability to perform the responsibilities listed above.

The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00*.
* The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
