Store Manager Trainee

• Engage in on-the-job training to learn how to manage the profitable operations of your assigned store.
• Recruit and hire store associates.
• Co‑train and develop associates on operations and merchandising, providing coaching and corrective feedback.
• Oversee and delegate all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and enforce company policies and procedures.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Implement operational and merchandising direction communicated from corporate headquarters.
• Help the store reach its maximum profit contribution.
• Protect company assets and maintain a high level of customer service.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional and friendly interactions.
• Earn a quarterly bonus when performance goals are met.

• Minimum 3 years of retail management experience preferred.
• Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise; big‑box experience a plus.
• Strong productivity management in freight processing required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high‑energy team environment required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
