Part Time Merchandiser - West Branch, MI

Job Summary

As a Merchandiser with American Greetings, you will work independently across various retail locations, showcasing organization and time management skills to display and maintain inventory levels of our celebrations product.

• Starting pay $14.00 per hour with two increases during the first year of employment.
• After 6 months of employment, pay increases to $14.80.
• After 1 year of continued employment, pay increases to $15.50.

This route will service the following retail locations: 2750 Cook Rd, West Branch, MI, 48661; 1958 E Greenwood Rd, Prescott, MI; 418 N Bullock St, Whittemore, MI; 3280 M-65, Hale, MI and 5866 M65, Hale, MI.

The weekly average hours are 6 hours per week. Hours may increase to an average of 13 hours per week around holidays. Ideal candidate available during daytime hours, specifically Monday mornings due to store needs.

• Service stores on assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders, displaying product in greeting card departments and other retail locations, maintaining organized backroom areas, and other inventory tasks as needed.
• Communicate with management regarding service or schedules.
• Work in a fast-paced retail environment utilizing effective time management and organizational skills.
• Partner and build relationships with retail store associates and management during daytime business hours.
• Availability for additional working days and extended hours leading up to and immediately following major holidays.
• Provide occasional assistance with store resets, including minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal as requested.
• Review and plan weekly service schedule and workload using a company-issued tablet.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

No experience necessary. Training will be provided.

• 18 years or older.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Access to reliable transportation; most routes have multiple retail locations.
• Access to reliable internet to receive critical job information and updates.
• Technological competency – ability to learn and use company-provided tablet for training and daily activity/tasks.
• Meet scheduling needs – occasional weekends, day before and after major holidays as needed (e.g., Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas).

You will work on the sales floor and backstock room. Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and fixtures up to 40 pounds. Must stand, walk, stoop, and squat throughout the workday. Stepstool may be used for some tasks. Reasonable accommodations may be made for disabilities.
