Job Summary
Provide direction related to operations, processes and conditions of the store. Plan, direct and supervise day‑to‑day store operations, including selection, training, development and performance management of all team members in your span of care. Develop and execute strategies to improve customer service, increase store sales and profitability, and ensure a high-quality merchandising presentation.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all store operations across food and general merchandise areas.
- Manage product planograms, seasonal resets and endcap displays.
- Engage team members and leadership to create a positive shopping experience.
- Drive culture, engagement and retention of talent while recruiting new team members to meet staffing forecasts.
- Conduct performance management for leaders and staff, including ratings, career development and promotion decisions.
- Communicate financial performance, customer feedback and recognition during daily huddles.
- Ensure compliance with Food Safety standards and local authority requirements.
- Lead operational initiatives, including DSD execution, backroom and sales‑floor excellence.
- Track and report key performance metrics such as sales, shrink, labor, margin, net profit, customer satisfaction and safety.
- Maintain competitive awareness and drive strategies to keep the store agile and profitable.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5+years of retail, grocery or operations management experience.
- 4+years of progressive leadership experience.
- Proactive, creative thinker with strong business acumen.
- Deep understanding of seasonal merchandising and customer demand.
