Northwoods Wholesale Outlet in Pinconning, MI is looking for a driven and experienced Assistant Grocery Director to help lead our grocery operations. Responsibilities:- Assist the Grocery Director in overseeing daily grocery department operations and performance
- Supervise, train, and develop grocery department staff to ensure productivity and service excellence
- Monitor inventory levels, coordinate ordering, and manage stock replenishment
- Ensure proper merchandising, product placement, and shelf presentation standards are maintained
- Analyze sales data and department metrics to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
- Enforce food safety, sanitation, and compliance standards throughout the department
- Collaborate with vendors and wholesale suppliers to maintain strong product availability and pricing
- 2+ years of experience in grocery retail, wholesale, or a related food industry environment
- Prior supervisory or management experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of grocery merchandising, inventory management, and ordering processes
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills
- Ability to analyze sales reports and make data-driven decisions
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and compliance standards
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced wholesale retail environment
