Lead Cashier, Retail

Plum Market is seeking a Lead Cashier to oversee daily front-end operations and ensure an exceptional guest experience. You will model hospitality, manage POS transactions, handle cash and deposits, and support accurate drawer balancing. The Lead Cashier trains and schedules cashiers, coaches for service excellence, and helps maintain clean, well-stocked checkout lanes. You'll resolve guest concerns, assist with returns and overrides, and support store promotions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily front-end operations and act as lead on duty for the cashier team
• Provide fast, accurate, and friendly checkout service to all guests
• Train, schedule, and coach cashiers on Plum Market service standards
• Handle cash, balance drawers, and support safe and accurate deposits
• Resolve guest concerns, returns, overrides, and pricing issues promptly
• Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked checkout lanes and impulse areas
• Monitor lines and adjust staffing to minimize wait times
• Support execution of in-store promotions and signage at the front end
• Collaborate with store leadership to improve guest service and efficiency
