Goodwill is seeking a Retail Store Manager to lead a high-volume thrift store while advancing our mission of helping people overcome barriers to employment. The manager oversees daily operations, including sales, donations, merchandising, and staffing. Responsibilities include supervising and coaching team members, ensuring excellent customer service, managing inventory flow and pricing, and maintaining loss prevention and safety standards. This role collaborates with workforce development teams, supports community impact initiatives, and models an inclusive, mission-driven culture with opportunities for growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily retail operations to achieve sales, donation, and profitability goals while supporting Goodwill's mission.
- Supervise, train, schedule, and coach store team members and volunteers for high performance and service.
- Ensure excellent customer service, visual merchandising, pricing, and inventory rotation standards.
- Oversee donation intake, sorting, and processing to maximize resale value and minimize waste.
- Monitor cash handling, POS accuracy, and loss prevention procedures to protect assets.
- Track and analyze sales, labor, and KPIs, adjusting staffing and floor plans as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and inclusive store environment compliant with company and safety policies.
- Support workforce development by modeling mission values and mentoring employees with barriers to employment.
- Collaborate with leadership on community outreach, promotions, and mission-focused initiatives.
- Complete reporting, audits, and compliance tasks on time and support continuous improvement efforts.
