Customer Service Associate

Snow’s Family Market is looking for a dependable, friendly Customer Service Associate to join our team at our Mercer, Wisconsin store.

This position is based in Mercer. We are specifically seeking applicants from the Ironwood area and surrounding communities who are interested in working in Mercer. If you live in the Ironwood area and are looking for a steady retail position within reasonable commuting distance.

This is a customer-facing grocery store position with a variety of responsibilities. Customer Service Associates help shoppers, operate the front-end checkout when scheduled, maintain an organized store environment, and assist with other store duties as needed.

• Welcome customers and provide friendly, helpful service.
• Operate the checkout and accurately process customer purchases and payments.
• Answer customer questions and help shoppers locate products or departments.
• Bag groceries and assist customers with carry-outs when needed.
• Keep the checkout and front-end areas clean, organized, and supplied.
• Stock, straighten, and face merchandise throughout the store.
• Help with price checks, shopping carts, cleaning, and other routine store tasks.
• Assist other areas of the store when customer traffic or business needs require additional help.
• Follow company procedures for cash handling, customer service, safety, and age-restricted sales.
• Work with managers and coworkers to help maintain an efficient and welcoming store.

• Basic math skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn different responsibilities throughout the store.
• Ability to remain on your feet and perform the normal physical duties of a grocery retail position.
• Availability for a flexible schedule, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Previous retail, grocery, or customer service experience is helpful, but not required
. We are willing to train the right person.

We are hiring for both full-time and part-time opportunities.

Full-time schedules are generally 36–40 hours per week
. Part-time hours will vary based on employee availability and store scheduling needs.

Pay:
From $16.00 per hour

Eligible full-time employees may also receive:

• Up to $1,000 in first-year retention bonuses
• Additional $2 per hour for Sunday and holiday shifts

Eligible full-time employees may earn up to $1,000 in retention bonuses during their first year

• $250 after 90 days
• $250 after 6 months
• $500 after 12 months

Payments are subject to applicable eligibility requirements, continued employment, satisfactory performance and attendance, and compliance with company policies.
