Sales Account Manager

Position Overview

The Sales Account Manager is focused on building strong Dealer customer relationships and delivering excellent customer service to win and support End Customer projects. The position focuses on selling and delivering the right product solutions to meet end customer needs. The Sales Account Manager will play a role in our GSA Sales efforts, which includes the management of State and TIPS contracts.

They may also handle specific territories direct. Intimate knowledge and understanding of Project and Product Quoting is a crucial part of the sales process.

Keys to success include:

  • Keeping customer channels separated
  • Working well with other teams – Finance, Purchasing, Engineering, and Customer Service
  • Adopting software tools to improve efficiency
  • Exercising good judgment – collaborating with other stakeholders to make sound business decisions

Position Responsibilities

  • Lead the sales efforts of the GSA Sales Channel including meeting goals, generating leads, making presentations, quoting and measuring results.
  • Form and maintain excellent relationships with Dealer partners in your designated territory.
  • Skill at developing relationship and connection with senior business leader.
  • Create Sales Strategies, establish territory goals, mentor, and coach.
  • Communicate with Dealer customers to address issues with existing and future business opportunities.
  • Provide Quotes and work with the Sales Team to provide Quotes for GSA and Dealer Products and Contracts.
  • Lead follow-up meetings with internal and external customers for accurate quotes, invoicing, scorecards and other documentation to gain, retain and expand sales.
  • Stay current and educated on all GSA policies and contract expectations.
  • Be involved with any audits required of the GSA Sales Channel.
  • Utilize CRM to enter opportunities, tasks, customer information and market-related data.
  • Maintain technical knowledge and competitive understanding of the market through attending trade association events, standards meetings and customer events.
  • Communication of Final Price Quotes and Discount Structure.
  • Provide Sales Tools creation input and feedback.
  • Provide competitive cost comparison analysis and sales strategic input.
  • Lead and Support Sales Process Improvements.
  • Electronic Tool expertise through the use of Hubspot or current CRM software.
  • Creating Key Forecast Data for the Management Team.
  • Position Skills and Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college preferred.
    • 5-10 Years experience in sales and sales management roles
    • Must be an excellent communicator to employees at all levels within the company.
    • Strong application planning and analytical skills are required.
    • Strong leadership skills with proven knowledge and quoting experience.
    • Ability to prioritize multiple projects. Follow through to completion is essential.
    • Excellent computer skills with an emphasis on specification software and CRM.
    • Enthusiastic, cooperative, and positive behavior.

    Successful candidates:
