AA Anchor Bolt, Inc., a family‑owned bolt manufacturer in Northville, MI has an immediate opening for a full‑time Inside Sales Estimator. We are seeking a highly motivated, detail‑oriented challenge seeker that will work well with our small office team. Mechanically inclined individuals tend to do best in this role. The right person will work well under pressure while maintaining a fun and energetic attitude.
This role is instrumental in helping to maintain our bridge between the customer and the manufacturing floor. We are growing this business and will only consider those that want to grow this business with us.
This is a unique opportunity for a self‑motivated individual that can quickly learn and apply knowledge. The right candidate will need to possess 2 years of relevant industry experience or be willing and able to train in the shop (short‑term) before joining our office team. We need a self‑starter with a proactive, can‑do attitude that takes ownership of their work and strives for excellence.
Job SummaryThis is an inside‑in-person position that blends sales and estimating, customer service, and potentially purchasing into one role. As a member of the office team you will be responsible for building and nurturing customer and vendor relationships, often with key decision makers within those organizations. This position plays a vital role in our ability to meet our goals and requires someone who confidently takes ownership of their work and strives for excellence.
EstimatorResponsibilities
- Maintain regular customer communications
- Provide excellence in service by promptly and efficiently addressing and resolving all inquiries and matters of concern via phone or email
- Prepare timely and accurate quotes and estimates using internal programs and resources
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure order accuracy and timely delivery
- Develop strong internal/external relationships with solution‑oriented communication
- Assimilate fastener specifications, drawings and industry standards to properly evaluate the needs of the customer
- Proficiently manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail
- Recommend products and solutions based on customer needs and challenges
- Generate additional business and help to maximize revenue opportunities with existing customers by identifying unmet or emerging customer needs
- Once quote is approved process quote‑to‑order conversion, seek final acknowledgment approval, and get the job into production
- Assist with face‑to‑face customer walk‑ins seeking products and solutions
- Work directly with vendors to obtain pricing or to procure material needs
- Perform all other job‑related duties as requested by management
- Knowledge of anchor bolts and threaded products, specifications, quality requirements, and the ability to accurately quote manufactured or sourced components
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to foster and maintain a service‑first mindset with internal and external relationships
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and listening skills, including the ability to interpret customer requirements and anticipate needs
- Strong prospecting skills, proactively identify and prospect new business opportunities through calls, networking, and social selling
- Proficiency with ERP systems, Quick Books (Desktop) and Microsoft Office applications.
We start all new sales and estimating reps out in our shop. This affords them the opportunity to learn how to read and understand the customer jobs, where material is stored, to gain an understanding of the products and timelines, and to fully understand what is required to complete the job. Training as a sales estimator will commence after the initial shop training period and will be conducted directly with our experienced sales staff.
Concessions for working in the shop could be made for anyone with 2 years of industry specific experience.

Full‑time
Schedule- 7am - 4pm Monday
- Tuesday - 7am - 3:30pm Wednesday
- Thursday - 7am - 2:30pm Friday
- Potential for overtime - sometimes mandated based on industry demand
