Role OverviewThe Sales Manager will hunt new opportunities, acquire new logos, and expand within existing accounts across traditional and new‑age OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers. Responsibilities include qualifying opportunities, building pipeline, shaping proposals, and closing services engagements with a focus on AI, application modernization, and digital transformation.

- Hunt for new logos and penetrate new buying centers within automotive and manufacturing accounts, prioritizing net‑new revenue generation.
- Build and manage a robust pipeline, maintaining health at 3x+ quota coverage.
- Leverage industry relationships to generate demand and open doors.
- Lead discovery sessions and translate client challenges into DXC solutions across AI, application modernization, business transformation, and enterprise technology platforms, articulating measurable business outcomes.
- Develop and execute account‑level sales strategies aligned with industry trends such as software‑defined vehicles, digital manufacturing, and Industry 4.0.
- Drive alliance‑led selling with partners (SAP, Oracle, Service Now, Salesforce, Boomi) to shape joint value propositions and accelerate deal progress.
- Collaborate on joint account planning, co‑selling motions, campaigns, and aligned go‑to‑market initiatives.
- Coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders (presales, solution architects, delivery, product, partner teams) to shape solutions, develop proposals, and accelerate deal velocity.
- Maintain forecast accuracy and sales discipline through CRM hygiene, pipeline reviews, close plans, and risk management.
- Handle complex sales negotiations and orchestrate deal closings involving multiple stakeholders and commercial structures.
- Annual Quota Target: $10M+ (actual quota varies by territory and portfolio mix).
- Primary Metric:
Net‑new bookings from hunting activities.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 6–8 years of enterprise technology / IT services sales experience, focused on the Automotive and/or Manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota in a hunter‑oriented role.
- Deep understanding of the automotive ecosystem, including OEMs, Tier 1/Tier 2 suppliers, and mobility players.
- Established network in the Michigan/Midwest automotive corridor, with ability to open doors and generate demand.
- Demonstrated consultative, outcome‑focused sales cycle execution (discovery → value alignment → solution shaping → close).
- Experience selling IT services in AI/Analytics, Application Modernization, Business Transformation, or Enterprise Technology Platforms (SAP, Oracle, Service Now, Salesforce, Boomi).
- Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills to progress multi‑stakeholder opportunities.
- Experience selling to automotive clients undergoing digital transformation, ERP modernization, or platform consolidation.
- Familiarity with trends: software‑defined vehicles, connected enterprise, digital twin, smart manufacturing, Industry 4.0.
- Co‑selling experience with alliance/partner field teams (SAP, Oracle, Service Now, Salesforce, Boomi) in joint go‑to‑market constructs.
- Prior experience at a Global System Integrator or large IT services firm.
- Relevant certifications (CSP, CSEP, or industry‑specific credentials) preferred.
