This is a field-based position supporting customers throughout the assigned territory. Candidates located within the assigned territory are preferred to support regular customer visits and effective territory management.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a driven and relationship-focused Territory Sales Manager to join our Sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and growing an assigned territory by building relationships with physician practices and healthcare professionals, identifying new business opportunities, and achieving sales targets. You will educate customers on our medical device products, understand their clinical and business needs, and provide solutions that deliver value to both the customer and the patient.
You will work closely with Sales, Marketing, R&D, and other internal teams to support customers, share market insights, and identify opportunities for growth. This role is well suited for someone who enjoys working independently, taking ownership of a territory, building long-term relationships, and contributing directly to business growth.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Execute territory sales strategies to achieve or exceed sales goals and quotas
Build, maintain, and expand relationships with physicians, medical practices, healthcare providers, and other key decision-makers
Prospect for new business and develop opportunities within the assigned territory through networking, referrals, email, phone, text, social media, and other appropriate channels
Manage the sales process from initial prospecting through customer conversion, account development, and ongoing relationship management
Maintain an active sales pipeline, prioritize opportunities, and consistently follow up to drive sales growth
Develop existing accounts while identifying opportunities to expand product utilization and customer relationships
Educate physicians and healthcare professionals on the features, benefits, clinical applications, and appropriate use of company products
Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and educational sessions for customers and healthcare professionals
Develop and maintain a strong understanding of company products, customer needs, competitive offerings, and clinical applications
Serve as a trusted resource to customers by providing ongoing product support and addressing customer needs
Maintain a strong working knowledge of the local healthcare market, managed care environment, reimbursement landscape, and relevant industry trends
Gather and communicate customer and market intelligence to support sales strategies, product development, and business planning
Collect, analyze, and communicate territory and field sales data to evaluate performance and identify opportunities for growth
Provide customer and field feedback to internal teams to help identify product, service, and market opportunities
Attend trade shows, conferences, educational programs, customer meetings, and other industry events to build relationships and promote company products and services
Maintain accurate and timely records of customer interactions, sales activities in the appropriate systems
Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements when handling protected health information or interacting with patients
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant sales experience may be considered.
3–5 years of successful sales experience within the medical device industry, preferably calling on physician practices or healthcare providers.
Demonstrated ability to develop new business and consistently achieve sales goals.
Medical knowledge and the ability to understand, learn, and communicate technical and clinical product information.
Excellent communication, presentation, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills.
