Job Skills / Requirements
- Pay Rate: $18.00 - $19.00 hour (pay rate set by current contract; subject to future increases)

- Uniform:
Business casual uniform, consisting of a black polo and khaki pants or navy dependent on position.

- Part-Time 1st&2nd Shift (7am-3pm/3pm-11pm) – Rotate Wed. 1st shift, Every Thurs & Fri 1st shift and Every Other Sat & Sun 2nd shift (Howard City)

Primary ResponsibilitiesAs an unarmed Security Officer at DK Security, duties may vary depending on the site. This opening is at the global headquarters for a manufacturer based in Rockford, MI. Some responsibilities may include:
- Customer Service - provide the highest level of customer service when interacting with employees, visitors, and co-workers.
- Mobile Patrol - Drive the security vehicle around the site, patrolling parking lots and building exteriors.
- Patrolling - Walk the interior and exterior of the various office buildings on site, keeping an eye out for security, safety, and maintenance issues.
- Reliability - Report for your shift on time, presentable, and in the prescribed uniform.
- Friendly Personality - Balance outstanding customer service with client policies and enforcing rules.
- Following Company and Client Policies - Read and interpret written post guidelines, follow procedures, and ensure tasks are completed throughout the shift.
- Use of De-escalation Techniques - Defuse situations through verbal judo and other communication tactics.
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
- Must have military, security, or law enforcement experience.
- Must have either a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- May NOT have any felony convictions and must be able to pass a criminal background check in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Must be able to successfully pass a drug test at the time of hire and randomly thereafter.
- Must present a friendly, positive, and professional image.
- Must be willing to become CPR/1st Aid/AED Certified.
- Must have a valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
- Less than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years
- Less than 2 at-fault accidents in the last 3 years
- No other major violations in the last 3 years.
- Physical Requirements:
Able to sit, stand or walk for the duration of the shift, walk long distances, and possibly go up/down stairs; occasionally lift up to 50 pounds; able to respond to emergency situations.
Education Requirements (All):
High School Diploma or GED
