Job Description: Stellantis Security Officer. Wage: $20.30/ hour.

SUMMARY:

Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel. Makes periodic tours to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment. Preserves order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.

• Observe and report activities and incidents at an assigned client site, ensuring security and safety of client property and personnel.
• Perform periodic patrols (indoor and outdoor, including stairwells) and mobile patrols across campus as required.
• Monitor entrances and exits, control entry movements of people and vehicles, operate a gate and examine vehicle contents, and monitor remote entrances using closed circuit television and other access devices.
• Assist visitors with legitimate access needs and facilitate admittance to the facility; provide courteous, respectful interaction and present a positive image of the client and its security department.
• Communicate openly and responsively with visitors and client representatives; provide information regarding the site and surrounding area as appropriate.
• Ensure safety and security by following procedures during incidents and emergencies, including fire, medical emergencies, bomb threats, flooding, hazardous materials, and inclement weather.
• Prepare logs or reports as required; document information in writing or in a computer system using standard grammar; review security control logs and take appropriate action.
• Observe and report suspicious activity and incidents to client representatives, company management, life/safety personnel, or public safety authorities as required.
• Respond to incidents and enforce policy requirements for site access, including identifying client products or materials among items carried by employees or visitors.
• Maintain professional composure and safety awareness; work with on-site client police department as needed.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a reliable means of communication (pager or phone) and transportation.
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English;
  High School Diploma or GED (with willingness to complete GED if not held).
• Must be willing to participate in pre-employment screening (drug screen and background investigation).

• High School Diploma or GED; related experience preferred.
• Must be able to meet and continue to meet licensing requirements for Security Officers as applicable.
• Knowledge of or ability to learn security operations and procedures.
• Ability to follow written or verbal instructions; work effectively as part of a team.
• Maintain professional composure in unusual or urgent circumstances; courteous telephone manner.
• Ability to adapt to changes in environment and organization; strong organizational and customer service skills.
• Ability to write routine documents, logs, and reports.

With or without reasonable accommodation, perform all essential functions. Physical/mental demands include maintaining composure under pressure, working in potentially stressful situations, and undergoing background checks and drug screening as required. May require overtime, multitasking, keyboarding and basic computer use, and the ability to see, hear, speak, and write clearly. May involve standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 25 pounds, and exposure to varying weather conditions or environments with protective gear as needed.
