DESCRIPTION:

The primary role of the Security Supervisor is to provide a physical presence within and throughout the Resort. Security personnel act to ensure the protection, safety, and wellbeing of the property, associates, and guests in a consistent manner. Security personnel will observe and monitor all procedures, safeguard all money transactions, as assigned. The Security Supervisor will provide customer service, employee assistance, ensure compliance with all established policies, and observe and report any unusual activity.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent guest service, internal and external, through active engagement and positive attitude.
  • Maintain close and continuous communication with Casino Shift Manager.
  • Investigate suspicious activity and incidents.
  • Take appropriate action to de-escalate potentially threatening situations.
  • Perform first aid or CPR as needed until first responders arrive.
  • Enforce security protocols and procedures.
  • Recognize disorderly patrons and escort unwanted individuals off the premises.
  • Knowledge and proper use of the CIP reporting system.
  • Knowledge of NWCR Health and Safety Manual and all resort safety protocols.
  • Assist in the transfer of money to and from various Casino departments.
  • Guard or be responsible for gaming cash, revenue, or supplies.
  • Initiate counseling and disciplinary actions regarding Security Guard infractions.
  • Ensure proper staffing of Security Officers on duty.
  • Review all security paperwork and approve leave requests.
  • Review incident reports and forward copies to appropriate departments.
  • Keep accurate and neat reports and logs.
  • Use professional and courteous language in radio and telephone communication.
  • Provide patrons with information about casino games, activities, and facilities.
  • Require presence when removing customers or employees from the property.
  • Maintain confidentiality of security and company information.
  • Train, supervise, schedule, and develop Security Staff.
  • Attend all necessary meetings and training as required by management.
  • Remain flexible and assume other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Attend and participate in defensive tactics and use of force training, adhering to policies.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior security/supervisory experience.
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Ability to provide basic first aid and CPR within 60 days of hire; training provided if needed.
  • Availability to work all shifts.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of customer service.
  • Pass background checks and pre-employment screenings for Gaming License.

The physical demands of this role include spending long hours on your feet, covering large areas quickly, intervening physically when necessary, and being physically fit to respond rapidly and manage stressful situations. Ability to bend, kneel, stand for up to 8 hours, and lift 50 pounds without difficulty is required.

Work environment varies from quiet to loud depending on business activity.
