Role: Maintenance Technician
OverviewThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the operational readiness of all facility systems and manufacturing assets. This role involves a broad range of technical tasks including installation, proactive upkeep, and rapid-response repairs. The primary focus is to minimize downtime and maintain a safe, efficient working environment in alignment with operational targets.
Primary Responsibilities- Systems Maintenance: Execute diverse technical duties to install and sustain industrial machinery and general facility infrastructure.
- Rapid Response: Conduct urgent repairs on critical equipment during active operations and carry out planned overhauls during scheduled downtime.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Apply multi-disciplinary skills—involving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems—to diagnose and resolve equipment failures.
- Documentation & Analysis: Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and digital work orders to ensure precision in all service activities.
- Preventative Care: Manage routine inspections and preventative maintenance cycles for all hardware and plant utilities.
- Facility Support: Handle basic plumbing, carpentry, and fabrication tasks as required to maintain the physical site.
- Tool Proficiency: Safely operate a variety of hand tools, power equipment, diagnostic meters, and material-handling machinery.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all regulatory safety standards, identify potential hazards, and maintain a high standard of workspace organization.
- Technical Aptitude: Strong grasp of industrial mechanics and electrical systems.
- Integrity: Commitment to professional ethics and safe work practices.
- Effective Communication: Ability to relay technical status updates clearly to team members and management.
- Proactive Problem-Solving: A self-starting approach to identifying efficiencies and preventing equipment failure.
