As a Diesel Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing heavy‑duty vehicles and equipment, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with strong technical expertise and a passion for automotive mechanics.

• Perform thorough inspections and diagnostic tests on heavy‑duty vehicles and equipment to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
• Repair and maintain various components and systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension and electrical systems.
• Replace or repair defective parts, components or systems using hand and power tools and specialized equipment.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, and fluid checks to keep equipment operating smoothly.
• Inspect and service hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems to prevent breakdowns and prolong equipment lifespan.
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues, identify root causes and develop effective repair solutions.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment, technical manuals and schematics to assist in troubleshooting and problem‑solving.
• Adhere to safety protocols, procedures and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
• Follow manufacturer specifications and industry standards to perform repairs and maintenance tasks accurately and safely.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including work performed, parts used and hours worked.
• Collaborate with other team members—including mechanics, supervisors and parts personnel—to coordinate work assignments and prioritize tasks.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, customers and other stakeholders regarding repair status, findings and recommendations.

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal apprenticeship program or technical training in heavy‑duty mechanics preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a heavy‑duty mechanic preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in diagnosing and repairing heavy‑duty vehicles and equipment.
• Familiarity with a wide range of tools, equipment and diagnostic devices used in the automotive/heavy‑duty repair industry.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams and schematics.
• Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving skills and a commitment to quality workmanship.
