Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate various types of heavy equipment efficiently, accurately and safely.
- Maintain a clean plant and surrounding area.
- Lubricate and perform routine maintenance on equipment.
- Follow directions and participate in weekly safety meetings (Tool Box Talks).
- Display a professional and courteous attitude toward co-workers, supervisors, and the general public.
- Willingness to travel, work away from home, work nights, weekends, and during required shifts (2 PM – 2 AM). 24/7 operations, 22 hours per day, 2‑hour maintenance overlap.
- Report to assigned job sites in proper work attire and at designated start times.
- Strictly adhere to all safety practices and procedures and company policies.
- Work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors as needed.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Previous experience operating or working around heavy equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment screening and testing.
- Read, interpret, and write routine reports.
- Perform basic arithmetic and compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
- Problem‑solve practical tasks and interpret instructions in various formats.
- Use vision for color, distance, and depth perception.
- Work at heights, climb ladders, scaffolds, and stair towers.
- Walk, stand, sit, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, crawl, crouch, and lift frequently.
- Stand or sit for at least eight hours per shift on uneven surfaces and in varying weather.
- Use hands to handle tools and controls; reach with arms.
- Carry, lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs without assistance.
- Operate equipment under extreme temperatures and for extended hours.
- Work a flexible schedule based on project needs.
- Work outdoors under extreme weather conditions and for extended hours.
- Exposure to high levels of noise, dirt, grease, and dust.
- Frequent work near heavy equipment and moving machinery.
- Contact with substances such as form oil, grease, curing compounds, gasoline, diesel fuel, asphalt, and concrete.
- Work near moving mechanical parts; walk on uneven surfaces; exposure to wet, humid, or extreme temperatures.
- Occasional exposure to vibration.
- Noise may require protective equipment at some facilities.
