Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Electrician role. The Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in commercial and industrial environments, ensuring all work meets safety codes and company standards. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical diagrams, running conduit and wiring, connecting panels and fixtures, and performing system testing with appropriate tools and meters.
The role also involves diagnosing electrical issues, completing preventive maintenance, documenting work performed, and collaborating with project managers and other team members to complete projects on time. The Electrician will interact with clients and site personnel in a professional manner, maintain a clean and safe work area, and follow all safety regulations and company procedures.
Qualifications
- Strong foundational knowledge of electricity and electrical principles, with the ability to apply this understanding in practical field settings.
- Hands-on experience in electrical work, including installation of wiring, fixtures, panels, and related equipment.
- Proficiency in maintenance and repair of electrical systems, including routine inspections, adjustments, and component replacement.
- Skilled in troubleshooting electrical issues, using diagnostic tools and systematic approaches to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
- Familiarity with electrical engineering concepts as they relate to system design, load calculations, and compliance with electrical codes.
- Valid electrician license or journeyperson status (or ability to obtain, as required by local regulations).
- Knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes, and commitment to strict safety practices and PPE use.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation, and to follow detailed instructions and project plans.
- Physical ability to perform on-site work, including standing, climbing, lifting, and working in various environmental conditions.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a professional approach to client and coworker interactions; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
