Overview

The Senior Lift Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, repairing and assisting in the operation of chairlifts by completing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting malfunctions.

Responsibilities
  • Ensuring proper operation of chairlifts and personnel by completing preventative maintenance of APUs, electric motors and line gear following manufacturers' maintenance manuals; troubleshooting malfunctions and training personnel in the proper operation.
  • Locating sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and checking for overheating.
  • Removing defective parts by dismantling devices, using come-a-longs, cranes, heavy equipment, rigging, hand and power tools; examining and diagnosing cause of failure and correcting the condition.
  • Maintaining equipment, parts and supplies inventory and conserving resources by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating equipment, parts and supplies and using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Preparing operational and maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information.
  • Maintaining technical knowledge.
  • Meeting service level objectives and department goals as set forth by immediate supervisor.
Qualifications
  • You have achieved a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • You possess five years experience with ski lifts.
  • Metal fabrication/welding skills.
  • Knowledge of low voltage controls.
  • Rigging experience.
  • NDT level 2 preferred.
  • You are able to work in various weather conditions.
  • You are able to crouch, sit and/or stand for long periods of time; able to climb ladders; frequently lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • You are interested in working with a team to achieve a common goal.
