WELDER MECHANIC

Starting Wage: $27.27 to $32.18, 15 Days Paid Time Off, Benefits on Day 1.

MARTIN MARIETTA MAGNESIA SPECIALTIES, LLC, Manistee Plant, is seeking candidates for a Welder Mechanic position. Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant processing, conveying, and packaging equipment and related facilities including:

• Using mechanical tools, welding equipment, cutting tools, measurement and alignment tools, and material handling equipment to effectively repair equipment.
• Performing preventive maintenance routines to ensure proper operation of equipment, including lubrication.
• Working around moving equipment, using heavy equipment and tools.
• Transporting and maneuvering heavy components and machinery, using appropriate equipment and rigging techniques.
• Entering and retrieving data as required.
• Observing all safety rules, and maintaining good housekeeping in work areas and assigned locations.
• Must pass a written NOCTI C Welder Mechanic written test, flat/horizontal welding practical test, and Work Keys.

• Minimum 18 years of age, high school graduate, able to lift 55 lbs., work a 12‑hour shift schedule.
• Capable of moving into positions with decision‑making responsibility.

• Must pass pre‑employment physical and drug test, and background check.
