Role Overview
Reyes Fleet Management is seeking a full‑time Fleet Technician Trainee to help with repairs and maintenance on trailer/tractor equipment at our facility shop in Lake Orion, MI.
ShiftFull‑time:
Monday 8:00 AM‑4:30 PM;
Tuesday‑Thursday 12:00 PM‑8:30 PM;
Friday 9:00 AM‑5:30 PM.
$21.00‑$25.00 per hour based on qualifications and experience.
Additional CDL incentive pay: $1.00 per hour with an active CDL A or B license.

- Inspect, repair, and complete routine maintenance of fleet equipment accurately.
- Complete necessary documentation for repairs and maintenance while maintaining accurate records of work performed, parts used, and repairs/inspections completed through the online Asset Works system.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
- Replace defective components as instructed.
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment and perform tasks in outdoor settings.
- Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal policies and regulations including DOT, OSHA, and Reyes Fleet Management standards, and ensure compliance with safety programs, correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practices.
- Possibly drive Reyes vehicles; maintain a current driver qualification file, including annual MVR check, DOT physical, and safety performance history records. CDL holders must undergo DOT drug screening within 30 days of start and comply with FMSCA Clearinghouse review.
- Perform other projects or duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma, GED, or technical school certification with 0 to 2 years of related experience.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with DOT regulations to operate company vehicles.
- Ability to frequently lift, push, and/or pull weights in excess of 50 pounds and occasionally 100 pounds.
Education and Experience
- Trade school diploma or certification.
