Drill Operator

Wolf Line Construction operates in partnership with its clients to provide fiber optic and energized space installations throughout the U.S.Wolf Line Construction will leverage its combined experience, industry expertise/relationships, committed team, and network of line work professionals to appropriately resource and execute work for its clients.

The Equipment Operator will be responsible to operate equipment safely and to facilitate placement of underground fiber optic cable. Must be able to read construction plans and figure grades. The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of the construction industry and fiber optic installation experience.

Assist in the loading/unloading of equipment, materials and supplies needed for daily work

Ability to safely operate HDD directional bore equipment for underground utility installation

Knowledge and understanding of the entire drilling process from setup and calibration to pullback

Must assist leadership (Foreman and or Supervisor) with all duties

Demonstrate ability to safely operate trenchers, backhoes, excavators, and plows

Must be able to operate tamps, jackhammers, core drills, concrete saws, and other miscellaneous equipment safely

Place conduit and/or cables in trenches, splice conduits sections (install couplers) as directed,

Place anchors, pedestal, vaults, etc. to complete construction tasks

Other duties may be assigned consistent with job description

High School diploma or GED required

Previous experience and knowledge of underground utility construction a must

Ability to operate all equipment safely and productively

Knowledge and understanding of reading drawings and ability to follow specifications

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with crew, leadership, and clients

Valid Driver’s License

OSHA 10 Certification

Current CPR Certification

Function effectively as an integral part of a team

Must be able to meet physical demands of the position

Work safely in all conditions

Possess knowledge of Industry standard safe working practices

Ability to work out of town/travel

Must have reliable transportation, valid drivers license, and clean driving record

Must be able to pass background check and drug screen

Must be available to travel to various sites as required outside of SC
