Maintenance Specialist II – Bronson Commons in Mattawan (Full Time, Variable Shift)

Variable Shift, Full time, 40 hours per week

• Perform emergency, routine, and preventative maintenance in carpentry, locksmith, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical areas.
• Perform corrective maintenance repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections.
• Document work performed.
• Research and order supplies as needed.
• Daily maintenance of equipment, facility repair, and cleaning.
• Coordinate with Manager on concerns and regulatory inspections to ensure clean reports and licensing.
• Prioritize repairs of facilities and equipment on a daily basis for all departments.
• Evaluate all maintenance agreements and recommend improvements or cost‑saving measures.
• Supervise all contractors onsite during scheduled work.
• Work with all departments to ensure life safety standards are met at all times.
• Work with Manager to prioritize maintenance tasks.
• Complete basic electrical, carpentry, plumbing, refrigeration/HVAC, and painting work as needed or work with subcontractors.
• Be on call when off duty as required by Manager.

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3-5 years of experience and/or HVAC and refrigeration certification preferred.
• Demonstrated mechanical skills.
• Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Understanding and operating diagnostic testing equipment.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and handle heavier tasks occasionally.
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle; must pass MVR check and provide proof of auto insurance.
• Ability to work on variable shift and be on call off duty.
