Senior Facilities Technician

Location: Mattawan

Our client, a leader in industrial and laboratory environments, is seeking a Facilities Technician 5 to join their team. As a Facilities Technician 5, you will be part of the maintenance and operations department supporting critical building systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

** Pay Range:**  $43.27 Hourly

** What's the Job?*
* + Oversee and monitor the operation of critical building systems including refrigeration, boilers, chillers, and related mechanical/electrical equipment.

+ Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and repair service work on site utility systems such as boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and motors.

+ Conduct routine tests and inspections on support equipment including water testing, chemical inventories, and brine levels.

+ Assist with major repairs and maintenance of building systems, ensuring optimal operation and safety compliance.

+ Document all work performed using Computerized Maintenance Management System and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.

** What's Needed?*
* + Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience working with industrial-sized HVAC equipment and systems.

+

Experience with steam boilers up to 37.5 million BTUs, water boilers up to 6 million BTUs, and chillers up to 1000 tons.

+ EPA Universal certification is required.

+ Ability to work independently on a rotating schedule, including weekends and on-call shifts.

+ Basic computer skills and understanding of mechanical systems, including pump rebuilding.
