Contract Electrician - Webberville, MI

Immediate Start! Flexible Pay Rates 4 Week Project

This contract electrician role supports a major in Webberville, MI, focusing on electrical installation and construction tasks. You will work on-site with a small team of contractors, performing hands-on electrical work such as pulling wire, bending conduit, and installing piping, outlets, and switches over the course of a multi-month assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Install, pull, and route electrical wiring throughout the school facility in accordance with project plans and applicable codes.
  • Measure, bend, and install conduit to support electrical systems, ensuring clean, safe, and efficient routing.
  • Run piping and conduit for electrical circuits and equipment as directed by project leadership.
  • Install outlets, switches, and related electrical fixtures with attention to safety, functionality, and quality.
  • Follow instructions and daily work plans provided by the on-site foreman and superintendent.
  • Work safely on an active construction site, adhering to all safety procedures and using proper tools and equipment.
  • Coordinate with other electricians and trades on-site to complete tasks efficiently and on schedule.
  • Inspect own work to ensure proper connections, secure installations, and compliance with project specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper handling and storage of tools, materials, and equipment.
  • Support general industrial and construction-related electrical tasks as needed to keep the project moving forward.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • State of Michigan Electrical Certification (Journeyman or Apprentice) Preferred.
  • Hands-on experience pulling electrical wire in commercial or industrial environments.
  • Proficiency in bending and installing conduit for electrical installations.
  • Ability to run piping and conduit in accordance with project drawings and instructions.
  • Practical knowledge of installing outlets, switches, and related electrical fixtures.
  • Experience working on construction or industrial job sites.
  • Capability to follow direction from a foreman or superintendent and work effectively within a team.
  • Understanding of basic electrical safety practices and procedures.
  • Journeyman or Apprentice Electrician qualification.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $38.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
