Industrial Maintenance Technician

Position:
Industrial Maintenance Technician (permanent, full‑time, all shifts) |

Location:

Newport, MI | On‑site | Pay: $28.75–$30.25 per hour.

Join our team as an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on industrial equipment.
• Maintain and repair electrical controls, PLC, slitter, pickler, galvanizing, fabrication, combustion, furnace, boiler, and overhead crane systems.
• Operate and maintain melting and mill burners.
• Conduct electrical repairs and installations in compliance with electrical code.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior staff.
• Participate in problem‑solving initiatives and improve equipment performance.
• Work collaboratively as part of a team.

• Minimum 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of ladder logic, PLC, and equipment mentioned above.
• Experience operating slitter, pickler, overhead crane, galvanizing processes, and handling chemicals.
• Familiarity with melting and mill burners.
• Proficiency in electrical system installation and inspection.
• Strong problem‑solving, leadership, mentoring, and teamwork skills.
• Excellent time management, decision‑making, critical thinking, mechanical, and mathematical abilities.
• Knowledge of electrical code.
