The Opportunity:
Midwest Energy & Communications (MEC) is looking for a Propane Service Technician/Driver to join our team in Gobles, MI. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll deliver propane to our customers, install and service propane systems, and ensure safe and reliable energy delivery every day.

What You’ll Do- Safely transport and deliver propane to customers in a timely and professional manner.
- Install propane tanks and related systems for new and existing customers.
- Perform maintenance and service work to repair or upgrade propane equipment.
- Maintain accurate truck inventory and requisition materials as needed.
- Support plant inventory management and operational needs.
- Collaborate with customer service to coordinate scheduling and respond to out‑of‑gas calls.
- Provide exceptional customer service by educating customers on MEC’s products and services.
- Valid Class B CDL with airbrake endorsement and a satisfactory driving record.
- Hazmat and Tanker endorsements (required or willingness to obtain).
- Valid medical examiner’s certificate.
- Strong mechanical skills, basic wiring or plumbing experience preferred.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Intermediate computer skills, including familiarity with Apple and Microsoft Office products.
- Sharp attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions and be part of an on‑call rotation.
- Compensation: Minimum starting salary of $30.11/hour.
- On-Call Incentive: $300 weekly for on‑call duty (1 week out of every
8). - Benefits: Comprehensive insurance with minimal cost‑sharing, plus 401(k) with 6% employer contribution.
- Paid Time Off: Accrue 5.85 hours of PTO per pay period from day one, reaching up to 24 days annually by year three.
- Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
- Location: Based in Gobles, MI.
