As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing heavy‑duty vehicles and equipment, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with strong technical expertise and a passion for automotive mechanics.
ResponsibilitiesDiagnosis and Repair:
- Perform thorough inspections and diagnostic tests on heavy‑duty vehicles and equipment to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
- Repair and maintain various components and systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and electrical systems.
- Replace or repair defective parts, components, or systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
Preventive Maintenance:
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, and fluid checks, to ensure vehicles and equipment operate smoothly and efficiently.
- Inspect and service hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems to prevent breakdowns and prolong equipment lifespan.
Troubleshooting and Problem‑Solving:
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to identify root causes and develop effective repair solutions.
- Utilize diagnostic equipment, technical manuals, and schematics to assist in troubleshooting and problem‑solving efforts.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
